In this week's episode of the CWC podcast, I address the toxic idea that “we all have the same hours in a day and we can determine our progress based on the choices that we make each day.” This “grind culture” notion is particularly harmful in the fitness community. Ultimately, catchy one-liners like this only serve to make people feel shame for not making better use of their time. It completely disregards the fact that, for the vast majority of people, there are dozens of outside factors prohibiting them from making perfect, or even good, choices each day.
