This week’s episode of the CWC podcast was inspired by a conversation I had with a doctor who approached me to discuss nutrition. I am not a registered dietician or a nutritionist, but I explained how many of my clients who have visited dieticians have experienced restrictive, dramatic diet plans, which almost always lead to failure. I explained that at CWC, we take a very different approach; we educate our clients on how to make realistic, lasting changes, and connect them to our CWC family. We allow all foods, while removing the labels we place on them as well. Over the past 5 weeks (mainly due to being on a mood stabilizer!) I have also begun to let go of the idea that I need to be the same person who started this business: a gym rat who never strayed from her macros. This season of my life is about releasing old ways of thinking and existing, and I am exercising to feel good, not for a physical results. I am not tracking my food, but eating intentionally and focusing less on protein intake and more on getting quality foods back into my diet. It is scary to break free from the old ways of thinking, but it is also extremely empowering.
